Step Into the Role of a Developer
About Olympiad
Participation is free of charge
At Big Tech, apps and services are built by large teams that design the logic, write the code, and test it. The Olympiad includes tasks that reflect the everyday work of IT specialists.
Experience Industrial Software Engineering
You don’t need to know everything right away. We’ll show you how to solve tasks in UI development, server-side logic, and data processing. After that, you can dive deeper into whatever interests you most.
Learn Programming Step by Step
We welcome all students in grades 8 to 11 who enjoy solving applied problems and learning how technology works. If you’re into coding or building apps, that’s a plus.
Join if You Want to Try Your Hand at IT
The Olympiad has three rounds: two preliminary ones and a final round. In the preliminary rounds, participants solve problems and defend their solutions, while in the team stage, they work together on a shared project.

Find out How PROD Helps with School and Work
More than 10,000 participants from 63 countries registered for PROD in the 2025/26 academic year. Here are a few of their stories
Alexander Zamaraev
19, Izhevsk
In 2024, a friend invited Alexander to a PROD hackathon. He liked the format, and it gave him two goals: to take part in the PROD Olympiad and to study at Central University.

Alexander achieved both. After taking part in PROD, he was admitted to Central University and became a developer intern at T‑Bank. Now he balances studying with work, building digital services for the university.
Ramir Vorobyov
19, Tolyatti
After PROD, Ramir was invited to an internship at T‑Bank. He became a frontend developer intern on the loyalty team, which builds the internal platforms used to launch offers for customers.

Ramir started out working on UI with React and Angular, then moved on to backend tasks with Rust and Go. He grew from an intern into a mid‑level developer, and also learned to look at code more broadly, understanding which features are needed and how to check whether an idea actually works.

As of September 2026, Ramir is balancing work with his second‑year studies in the business track at Central University.
Matvey Merzlikin
17, Moscow
Matvey won the DANO Olympiad three times, and in 2025 became a PROD finalist. After the Olympiad, he decided to become a developer. Matvey built a chess engine, a program that calculates moves. His Olympiad experience helped him get into the T‑Bank team that develops code search. During his internship, Matvey wrote code in C++ and Go.

As of the start of the 2026/27 academic year, he’s balancing work with his first‑year studies in “Applied Mathematics and Information Science” at the HSE Faculty of Computer Science. At T‑Bank, Matvey works on Nestor Search, a search system for engineers, and helps build search into AI tools.
Semyon Loskutnikov
19, Zhukovsky
In 11th grade, Semyon came to a PROD hackathon. He enjoyed working on a project with a team and connecting with other people who were also into development. The Olympiad was the natural next step.

In the final, Semyon’s team took first place, and he became a PROD finalist. That result helped him land an internship on T‑Bank’s crawling team, which builds programs for automated data collection. After the internship, Semyon was offered a permanent spot on the same team.

Semyon enrolled in the joint HSE and Central University program “Information Product Design and Development” with a 90% discount.

Anyone can register and take part in the first preliminary round, regardless of age, place of study, or country of residence.

Only school students can continue on to the second preliminary round.
Yes. If you don’t know how to write part of the code, ask an AI tool to explain the approach or suggest an example. The key thing is to check the answer and make sure you understand the logic behind the solution.
